3490/3590 Tape replacement unit.
With 3490E and 3590 tape drives now no longer manufactured and tape repair houses finding it increasingly difficult to get spare parts, The Disk+Tape product is a small stand-alone disk based product that emulates a Fujitsu 3490E or IBM 3590 and will plug & play with these applications. GI-Source Controller Unit
This unit is specifically designed to control the firing of a Generator-Injector (GI) type single air gun source. It is a totally integrated unit, which enables the GI gun to fire with maximum efficiency, and give the best possible pulse output, by allowing both the trigger delay and trigger pulse width to be adjusted over a wide range.
The power supply is designed for a fast firing cycle, for high-resolution surveys. Multiple indicators show the static and dynamic state of each trigger line. It includes several other useful features, such as versatile input triggering, timebreak threshold control and buffering, choice of timebreak outputs, ‘safe-arm’, and a front panel test fire button. CMS Cable management software package.
The TAP Instruments Cable Management System (CMS) is an easy to use windows GUI based program, for controlling seismic streamer cables, and displaying their state dynamically. Available in stand-alone form (CMSX) or integrated with the TL3 recorder (CMSI), CMS allows the user to carry out a range of tests on the installed sensors. Future products planned include:
Cable Tester
The TAP cable tester will incorporate a stand alone Switching Unit with connector inputs for up 120 channels. A Windows compatible GUI program will control the switching unit and a Thurlby 1705 meter is used to record measurements.
Tests include Capacitance, Continuity and Leakage. The Software will allow the user to save and print any measurements taken.
The Cable Tester will require a Windows PC with 2 serial ports
